OUR BELIEFS    l   OUR PASTOR

A little bit about us...

In 1960 the official work began...a new Lutheran Church in the Horsham area. On April 24, 1960, still without a name, the first worship service was held. By May it was decided and Resurrection Lutheran Church (officially, The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection) had a name and a congregation.

Now forty-eight years later we continue to work to make Christ known throughout the community. Our motto, Centered in Christ – Joined in Prayer, keeps us focused on the mission of ministry beyond our driveway. We would love for you to be a part of it.

Resurrection Lutheran Church is a member of the Southeastern PA Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Resurrection is conscientiously and intentionally a historical, confessional, Biblical and open congregation.

This congregation confesses the real presence of Christ in the Sacrament of Holy Communion, believing that "in, with and under" the forms of bread and wine we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, strengthening of our faith and the reassurance of eternal life and salvation.

We celebrate the Eucharist each Sunday. And so we invite you: Come to the table not because you must, but because you may. Come to testify not that you are righteous, but that you sincerely love our Lord Jesus Christ and desire to be his true disciple. Come not because you are strong, but because you are weak; not because you have any claim on God's blessing, but because in your frailty and sin you stand in constant need of God's mercy and help. Come not to express an opinion, but to receive Christ, truly present in the holy meal.
